I wrapped this incinerator in delicate muslin, soaked it in salty water and left it out in my garden to stain.

Rusty Incinorator.
I am continuing with my rust staining experiments.
This now disused incinorator from my garden which was at one time a plant nursery, is my next project.

View of my garden through the lid.

Wrapped and soaked in salty water.

2017 BLOGGY THING !
My challenge for this term is to get my art out there!
Not very me really as I am more "keep things nice and out of the limelight"
But never one to shy from a challenge I am resurrecting my blog.
I have been exploring rust staining and wrapping metal found objects, many of which were collected from my garden.
Pictures to follow.
When I can remember how to upload them!
I have been experimenting with contrasting materials. Here rusty barbed wire and delicate cotton.

Some of my rust staining hanging in my studio.

A rusty find from my garden wrapped in fine linen and soaked with salty water.

Book project. Printing based on rusty E shapes found in my garden.
